GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE CRANK ASSEMBLY
Specific feature of the ZED 2 crank assembly:
Look’s new “ZED 2” crank assembly is the industry’s first single-piece carbon crank
assembly. The crankarms and spider are joined to the bottom bracket assembly axle to
achieve unmatched stiffness.
Made completely from high-resistance carbon fibre, it is both light and extremely strong.
The ZED 2 is the result of many years of research and development and features two
technologies patented by LOOK:
1. The “Trilobe” Technology allows for adjustable crank arm lengths. You can choose 3
different crank arms lengths; 170mm, 172.5mm, or 175mm by simply rotating the trilobe nut
by 1/3 of a turn. This does not require any special tools.
2. Double chainring mounts: a standard 130mm (i.e.52/39 teeth) or a compact 110mm (i.e.
50/34). The double holed spider accommodates both chainrings on the inner side of the
crankset.
