What causes HST power to be too low in my LS tractor?
    • C
      Christine ThompsonSep 14, 2025
Low HST power can result from an oil shortage, so add oil. Air in the HST circuit requires checking and repairing the hydraulic suction line. If the transmission oil temperature is too high, stop the engine to cool the oil, then restart. Worn HST moving parts need repair or replacement, and a clogged HST filter should be replaced.

Why are the hydraulic cylinders on my LS tractor accessories (swing, boom, dipperstick, and bucket) not functioning properly?
    • D
      denise87Aug 25, 2025
Several factors can cause the hydraulic cylinders on your LS tractor accessories (swing, boom, dipperstick, and bucket) to malfunction. These include low hydraulic fluid level, improperly connected hydraulic hoses, blocked hydraulic hoses to/from the control valve, a stuck backhoe control valve or tractor main relief valve, or low system pressure from the hydraulic pump. Other potential causes are a broken control valve linkage, disconnected quick couplers, blockages in the hydraulic hose or tubeline, a defective cylinder piston assembly, or a blocked control valve.

What causes hydraulic fluid to foam in my LS tractor accessories?
    • R
      randywilsonAug 26, 2025
Hydraulic fluid foaming in your LS tractor accessories is often due to air leaking into the suction side of the hydraulic pump. Check for loose or defective connections between the reservoir and hydraulic pump. It can also be caused by using improper hydraulic oil. Refer to your Tractor Operator's Manual and replace the hydraulic oil with the recommended type.

Why won't the start motor turn on my LS tractor?
    • K
      Kayla MooneyAug 27, 2025
The start motor may not turn due to several reasons. The start safety switch might not be contacted, so depress the clutch pedal fully. Ensure the PTO switch is in the “OFF” position. The battery could be discharged, requiring a charge or replacement. Check for and tighten any loosened terminals. The key switch or the start motor itself might have failed, needing repair or replacement.

Why is my LS tractor battery not charging?
    • D
      Danielle RussellSep 14, 2025
If the battery isn't charging, it could be due to abnormal wiring, so check the tightness of the terminal and ground. Alternator failure would require repair or replacement. Insufficient fan belt tension or a broken belt should be addressed by adjusting the tension or replacing the belt. Finally, the battery itself might be abnormal and need replacement.

Why does LS tractor engine turns more than maximum speed?
    • B
      Brooke PatelSep 23, 2025
If the engine turns more than the maximum speed, it is caused by impurities in governor and requires repair.

What causes oil leakage in my LS tractor?
    • C
      Casey HowardSep 7, 2025
Oil leakage can occur due to a loosened connecting part, which needs tightening. It may also be caused by a damaged oil seal or a cracked pipe, both requiring replacement.

Why is it hard to operate the steering wheel on my LS tractor?
    • W
      William BurchSep 8, 2025
Difficulty in steering could arise if the steering unit spline and column spline are not aligned, so check the mounted condition of the steering unit and column. A damaged spool and sleeve due to foreign material requires replacement. Also, ensure the end cap bolt doesn't have excessive tightening torque; apply regular torque. Low pump speed may be the cause, so adjust RPM or repair. Wearing or failure of components, and a relief valve with a clogged valve spool, both need repair or replacement. Finally, a setting pressure that is too low requires resetting or adjustment.

What to do if lever is placed on the raising position, and relief valve sound off in LS tractor?
    • A
      Allison HughesSep 23, 2025
If the lever is placed on the raising position and the relief valve sounds off, the upper limit of the position control lever is changed. Adjust the upper limit.

Why is the color of exhausted smoke black in my LS tractor?
    • R
      Raymond RamosAug 31, 2025
Black exhaust smoke indicates bad fuel quality, so use good quality fuel. It may also indicate an oversupply of fuel, or a fault of the nozzle, both of which require repair.
