  If the swing, boom, dipperstick, and bucket cylinders aren't functioning correctly on your LS tractor accessories, start by checking and replenishing the hydraulic fluid to ensure it's at the correct level. Inspect hydraulic hose connections to make sure they are properly connected. Also, check the hydraulic hoses for any damage, such as kinks, that could block the flow. Ensure that quick disconnect couplers are fully connected. If these steps don't resolve the issue, inspect for blockages and disassemble the valve if necessary.

  Several factors can cause the hydraulic cylinders on your LS tractor accessories (swing, boom, dipperstick, and bucket) to malfunction. These include low hydraulic fluid level, improperly connected hydraulic hoses, blocked hydraulic hoses to/from the control valve, a stuck backhoe control valve or tractor main relief valve, or low system pressure from the hydraulic pump. Other potential causes are a broken control valve linkage, disconnected quick couplers, blockages in the hydraulic hose or tubeline, a defective cylinder piston assembly, or a blocked control valve.

What causes hydraulic fluid to foam in my LS tractor accessories?

  Hydraulic fluid foaming in your LS tractor accessories is often due to air leaking into the suction side of the hydraulic pump. Check for loose or defective connections between the reservoir and hydraulic pump. It can also be caused by using improper hydraulic oil. Refer to your Tractor Operator's Manual and replace the hydraulic oil with the recommended type.
