6. Plexiglass windshield should be washed with mild soapy water.
Rinse. Allow to dry. If stored outdoors, boat should be covered
against direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
7. Remove battery, check water level, store in a warm, dry place.
8. Remove portable tanks. Gasoline left in tanks causes gum-like
deposits and presents fire hazard. To further protect gas tanks, pour in a gaso
line soluble rust inhibitor. Follow directions of rust inhibitor supplier.
9. Fill gas tanks or drain completely empty. If the tanks are full add a
preservative to the fuel.
10. Drain bilge pump and hoses.
11. Remove transom drain plug and store boat with bow higher than stern.
12. If boat is stored on trailer, block the trailer off the ground so that the weight is
not on tires. Loosen tie-downs. check to be sure that transom and keel are sup-
ported properly.
13. If boat is covered, provide adequate ventilation to assure evaporation of con-
densed moisture and the prevention of mildew. If using the transportation and
storage top, the supplied poles must be installed to keep the top tight. If the top
is not tight, damage can occur during storage or trailering.
14. Put blocks under trailer to keep tires from wet ground.
15. Repack wheel bearings on trailer.
16. Store with bow up and drain plug removed.
