The Lumishade is a contemporary window covering that combines the versatility of a vertical blind with the elegant appeal of a soft window furnishing. It features the premium Edge Vertical Track system and soft Lumishade fabric, offering a balance of style, durability, and child safety.
Function Description:
The Lumishade features individually curved fabric vanes with alternating light filtering and room darkening panels. Users can simply turn the fabric vanes for sheer light control or total privacy. It is designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, allowing convenient walk-through access whether the individual fabric vanes are opened or closed. The system operates quietly and softly settles back into position, free from noisy connecting chains and bottom weights.

- Installation:
- Includes mounting clips, mounting brackets (if face fixed), screws, and cord tensioner/screw (if cord/chain).
- Can be installed in Reveal (inside window frame) or Face (outside window frame).
- 102mm mounting bracket is standard; optional mounting plate can extend the Lumishade from the wall.
- Reveal Fit: Install as far into recess as possible, allowing vane rotation clearance.
- Bracket/Clip Spacing: Within 200mm of head channel ends, not more than 1 metre apart. Extra bracket for stacking side.
- Face Fit: Mark track position on face/architrave, check drop, attach brackets with supplied screws. Minimum 3 screws per bracket.
- Brick/Rendered Surfaces: Drill no closer than 25mm from edge to prevent chipping.
- Installing Track: Engage front edge lip into bracket, twist up and backwards to snap track onto brackets.
- Attaching Panels: Start with track closed, hooks open. Hang one side of fabric panel in second hook, connect to former panel by clicking clear plastic hangers, repeat.
- End Panels: Supplied with 1 clear plastic clip and double-sided tape. Outside facing edge should be sheer fabric. Fold fabric around vanes, align vertically, attach to tape, click plastic tabs, hang on last hook.
- Cord & Chain Tensioner: Mount after blind is secured, either in reveal (inside mount) or on wall face (outside mount). Locate as close to window as possible to minimise child/pet accessibility. Ensure device is secured and cords tensioned while allowing blind operation.
Maintenance Features:
- Dirt and Dust Resistant: Treated to effectively repel dust and grime.
- Easy Maintenance: Simply dust with a soft brush or feather duster.
- Spot Cleaning: Wipe fabric blades with a sponge soaked in lukewarm water. For stubborn marks, add a little mild detergent and gently dry with a clean cloth.
- Hand Wash: Lumishade fabric can be lightly hand washed and dried. Can be ironed with a cool iron or steamed to remove creases. To remove fabric, gently unhook the blade by lifting it up and out of the hook.
- Track Cleaning: Tracks can be cleaned with a feather duster or a slightly damp microfibre cloth.
- Warranty: Enjoy total peace of mind with a 5-year warranty.
- Caution: Never use harsh cloths, harsh abrasives, chlorine, or ammonia-based chemicals/cleaners on any Lumishade surface, as they may affect appearance, longevity, and warranty.
- Cleaning Window: On the stack side of the blinds, the end attachment can be unhooked to stack back the fabric for window cleaning.
