OPEN CIRCUIT - NO BEEP
Meter setup to test circuit continuity:
• Set the rotary switch to the Ω setting.
• Press the “DWL” button until “ ” appears on the display. Now the meter is in continuity test function and
the meter defaults to the 400Ω range.
• Insert the black lead in the “COM” jack.
• Insert the red lead in the “ ” jack.
Connect:
• Test probes across the circuit to be tested.
If the circuit is closed (resistance < about 40Ω), the meter will beep. If the circuit is open (resistance > 150Ω),
there is no beep.
