What to do if there is no line voltage at all and the green power indicator light is not on in my Magnaflux A-2000 Industrial Equipment?
    • J
      Jeffery SharpAug 8, 2025
First, ensure the external fused disconnect switch is turned on. If it is on, check the fuse in the external fused disconnect switch and replace it if blown, checking for shorts if it continues to blow. Also, inspect and replace fuse 1FU if it's blown, again checking for shorts if necessary. Finally, the green power indicator lamp might be burned out and require replacement.

      armstrongallisonAug 12, 2025
The pump motor may not be operating because fuse 4FU is blown, so replace it and check for shorts if the issue persists. Alternatively, relay 1CR might not be functioning. Check for 115V on wire 14 (Wire 15 on XL units) and replace relay 1CR if needed.

      Robert MichaelAug 16, 2025
First, check that the air supply is properly connected to the inlet. Then, inspect the foot switch/dual palm cable and plug; check the Input, I-00, light on the PLC and replace the foot switch cable and/or plug if it doesn’t light when the footswitch is pressed. Also, check that the Output light, O-14, on the PLC toggles with the footswitch; if it does, replace the solenoid valve 2SOL or the complete solenoid. Inspect and replace fuse 6FU if it's blown. Finally, if there is no power at the 1PS, 24VDC power supply, replace the 24VDC power supply.

Irregular clamping action may be due to a dirty or defective pressure regulator, which should be cleaned or replaced. Another cause could be a dirty air filter, which should be replaced.

    • S
      Steven FriedmanAug 29, 2025
Current flow when nothing is clamped may be due to worn or missing insulators. Check the headstock drawing for insulator locations and repair or replace as needed. Alternatively, the SCR(s) might be shorted.

What to do if there is no output current at contacts or coil in Magnaflux Industrial Equipment?
    • M
      margaretwilsonSep 2, 2025
No output current at the contacts or coil could be due to a thermo shutdown; turn off the disconnect and wait until the unit cools. It could also be due to no power at the Contact or Coil Firing Board; check for the green LED on the firing board and replace Fuse 1FU if it is blown.
