Installation Height
Microwave radiation does not propagate in a straight line but more as an elliptic sphere
between the radar and the target: This is known as a Fresnel zone and should be kept clear
of blocking objects to maximize radar performance.
The ground is the major problem but also other objects in the area like trees, buildings and
large vehicles can be a problem.
Therefore, please use the following table as a minimum recommended radar installation
height as a function of the maximum detection range wanted for the radar:
