(C) Cleaning, Inspection and Repair
1. Clean out the tank thoroughly. Use clean fuel.
Remove any signs of rust or corrosion.
2. Check the tank for leaks.
3. Ensure that the filler cap air vent is open and clean.
4. Check the ‘Tank unit’ Fuel gauge sender is working
properly.
(D) Installation
1. Reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill the tank with clean fuel and bleed the system
in the following sequence.
(E) FUEL TAP (VALVE)
The Fuel Tap (1-2) is located between the Feed
Pipe from tank to filter. The Screw type Valve arid
Seal Assembly has two positions : off and on The
fuel is allowed to flow while the valve is screwed
out and vice versa.
Remove the fuel cock and blow with compressed
air to clean it. Replace it after cleaning and check
for any leakage.
