What to do if my Majestic DVR33 pilot will not stay lit?
    • L
      leeemilyAug 10, 2025
If the pilot light won't stay lit, it could be due to a defective pilot generator (thermocouple) or remote wall switch. Make sure the pilot flame is correctly hitting the thermocouple/thermopile. This unit uses both, where the thermocouple controls the main valve (On/Off). Clean and/or adjust the pilot for maximum flame contact on both the thermopile and thermocouple. Also, a defective automatic valve could be the reason. Turn the valve knob to "Pilot" and keep the pilot flowing. A millivolt meter should show a reading greater than 10 mV. If the reading is okay but the pilot still won't stay lit, the gas valve likely needs replacing.

How to fix a Majestic DVR33 spark ignitor that will not light?
    • J
      Jason TannerAug 20, 2025
If the spark ignitor isn't lighting, the electrode at the pilot might be defective or misaligned. Try lighting the pilot with a match. If it lights, turn off the pilot and try the ignitor button again. If it still doesn't light, check the gap at the electrode and pilot; it should be about 1/8" for a strong spark. Another possibility is a defective ignitor (push button). Push the Piezo Ignitor Button and check for a spark at the electrode and pilot. If there's no spark and the electrode wire is properly connected, you'll need to replace the ignitor.

Why is my Majestic Indoor Fireplace pilot burning but no gas to the main burner?
    • C
      Curtis Perkins PhDOct 30, 2025
Several factors can cause this issue. It could be a defective wall switch or faulty wiring. Inspect the wall switch and wires for secure connections. Try bypassing the terminals at the wall switch with a jumper wire; if the burner ignites, the wall switch is defective and needs replacement. If the switch is fine, bypass the wall switch wires at the valve. If the burner then ignites, the wires or their connections are faulty. Other potential causes include a plugged burner orifice, a defective automatic valve operator, a pilot flame that's too low or blowing, a blocked vent terminal, or insufficient millivoltage from the thermopile. Check the burner orifices for any obstructions and clear them. Ensure wire connections from the thermopile at the gas valve terminals are tight and the thermopi...
