Speed
change
This tool allows infinitely variable tool speeds from
9,000
to
23,000
rpm. This allows the
bit speed to be adjusted to most ideally match the bit or cutter diameter and the type
of
material to be routed. This helps
to
produce top quality finished surfaces in
a
wide
variety of materials including hardwoods, softwoods or plastics.
Number
To change the tool speed, turn the speed
change knob on the top of the tool. The
tool speed can be adjusted between
9,000
rpm and
23,000
rpm. Numbers from
1
to
5
are indicated on the knob. Faster speeds
are obtained by setting the knob to
a
higher number.
RPM
The reference table on the right denotes
the relationship between the number
set-
tings on the speed change knob and the
approximate tool speeds.

CAUTION
