Do you have a question about the Makita AG125 and is the answer not in the manual?
Protect your eyes from dust or nail injury. Ensure compliance with ANSI Z87.1.
Protect ears from noise and wear light, non-loose clothing. Sleeves buttoned, no necktie.
Avoid rushing or forcing the tool. Do not operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Follow 8 guidelines for safe tool operation, assuming fasteners, not pointing at others, firm contact, etc.
Do not use near volatile materials like gasoline or paint due to ignition risk.
Maintain good illumination, clear space, and good footing for safe operations.
Ensure only authorized personnel are in the work area; keep children away.
Adhere to local noise regulations; use shutters to contain noise if necessary.
Never attempt to fasten the trigger in the ON position; it is dangerous.
Do not operate if controls are inoperable, disconnected, altered, or not working properly.
Operate within 4.5-8.5 kgf/cm²G (65-120 PSIG); do not exceed recommended max pressure.
Never use bottled gases or combustible gases as a power source; risk of explosion.
Check for overall condition and tighten loose screws before operation.
Ensure safety system works; test by pressing nail guide without nails.
Check walls, floors, etc., for wires, pipes to avoid shock, leaks, or explosions.
Use only specified nails; others may cause malfunction.
Do not allow untrained individuals to operate the tool.
Keep people away; never nail from both sides simultaneously due to ricochet risk.
Watch footing, maintain balance; secure air hose to prevent accidents when working at heights.
Nail moving forward on rooftops. For vertical surfaces, nail from top to bottom.
Avoid nailing on top of other nails or into knots to prevent jamming and ricochets.
Do not leave loaded tool or compressor under pressure in the sun; prevent dust/foreign matter entry.
Keep hands and feet away from the ejection port; do not point it at anyone.
Do not carry tool with finger on trigger when connected; accidental firing is dangerous.
Handle carefully due to internal high pressure; avoid dropping or striking.
Immediately stop nailing if anything seems wrong or out of the ordinary with the tool.
Disconnect hose when unattended, before maintenance, cleaning jams, or moving the tool.
Clean and lubricate parts after finishing to prevent rust and wear. Wipe off dust.
Do not operate the tool if the warning label is missing or illegible.
Do not modify the tool without explicit authorization from Makita.
For periodic inspection, maintenance, and repairs, contact Makita Authorized or Factory Service Centers.
Choose a compressor meeting ANSI B19.3 - 1981, with adequate pressure and output. Use regulators.
Use a large, short hose (min 8.5mm internal diameter, <20m length for 0.5s intervals). Ensure pressure rating.
Install an air set with an oiler close to the tool. Add oil as recommended.
Do not use hardened steel or stainless steel nails in concrete/steel plate. Check nail head size.
Carefully insert nail head into nail guide, holding shank. Do not touch trigger when loading.
Turn adjuster to set depth; deepest at '1'. Increase air pressure if nails don't drive deep enough.
Slip air socket onto fitting, ensure it locks. Use a pressure relief coupling.
Place nail tip, apply gentle downward pressure, and pull trigger. Ensure contact arm engages.
For positioning or shallow nails, set tip, pull trigger, withdraw after one or two impacts.
Ensure nail tip is inserted into the hole in the metal plate before starting nailing.
Change air exhaust direction by rotating the exhaust cover as needed.
Disconnect hose, use pliers to bend nail, remove it, and check nail guide/contact arm movement.
Hook is for temporary hanging. Ensure it is installed securely and disconnect hose when using.
Avoid storing nails in humid, hot places, or direct sunlight.
Check tool condition and screws regularly. Inspect nail guide and trigger for free movement.
Lubricate tool with pneumatic oil and store in a safe place, avoiding direct sunlight or humidity.
Drain compressor tank and air filter. Check oiler level in air set regularly.
Keep hose away from heat, chemicals, obstacles, and sharp edges to prevent damage.
Warrants against defects in workmanship and materials for one year. Return to service center for repair.
