The assembly process for the E450 Adjustable Base is straightforward, requiring a minimum of two people. Users begin by placing the box with the bottom facing up and carefully removing packaging materials. The bed base is then removed from the box and placed mattress-side down. All components, including the four 8.5-inch legs, retainer bar, power supply box, power cord, and wireless remote control, are located on the underside of the base and should be set aside for assembly.
The legs are hand-tightened into the bed frame, with options for either an outside or inside placement, ensuring consistency. The power cord is then connected to the receptacle on the bed motor, ensuring a secure connection. The E450 Adjustable Base is operated via a wireless remote control, which comes pre-paired with the foundation. The remote features pre-programmed buttons for quick adjustments and arrow buttons for manual control. Key functions include:

After setup, it is recommended to test all functions for approximately 3 seconds each to ensure proper operation. It is important to always return the base to the flat position when switching between preset options.
The wireless remote control requires two AAA batteries, which are included. To replace them, remove the battery cover on the back of the remote and insert new batteries as shown in the diagram.
The E450 Adjustable Base includes a backup battery system for use during power outages. This system requires two 9V batteries (not included). To install, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, remove the cover from the compartment on the underside of the power supply, insert the 9V batteries, close the cover, and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. The backup battery provides temporary power to allow the base to be moved to a flat position but is not designed for repeated movement over an extended period. Once power is restored, the 9V batteries should be removed, and the power cord plugged back in for normal use.
