This document is an owner's manual for the STRUCTURES™ S755 Adjustable Base, a product designed for in-home use that offers various features for enhanced comfort and functionality. The adjustable base is backed by a 20-year limited warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Function Description:
The STRUCTURES™ S755 Adjustable Base is a bed frame that allows users to adjust the position of their mattress for personalized comfort. It includes features such as head and foot articulation, head tilt, lumbar support, and multiple massage functions. The base is operated via a wireless remote control, which comes pre-programmed with several preset positions like "Zero Gravity," "Anti Snore," "TV/Read," and "Lounge." Users can also program custom positions to the "MEM 1" and "MEM 2" buttons. The base is designed to be used with a mattress and bedding, and it includes a retainer bar to keep the mattress in place. For split sizes (Twin XL and larger), two bases can be synchronized to operate together, either wirelessly or via a wired connection.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Weight Restrictions: The recommended weight restriction for the STRUCTURES™ S755 Adjustable Base is 850 lbs, which includes the weight of the mattress and bedding. This weight should be distributed evenly across the base. Exceeding this limit or misusing the product (e.g., sitting on raised head/foot sections) can damage the bed and void the warranty.
- Motor Ratings: The motors are designed for intermittent use, specifically for no more than two (2) continuous minutes within an eighteen (18) minute time period. Exceeding this will shorten motor life and void the warranty.

- Electrical Requirements: The product is designed for use on a standard 120-volt circuit. It must be plugged into a grounded electrical surge protection device, which in turn should be plugged into a wall outlet.
- FCC Compliance: The device operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency transmitter and complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any interference received. No changes to the antenna or device are permitted to maintain FCC RF exposure compliance.
- USB Ports: The base includes USB ports (5V1A and 5V2A) located under the head portion of the bed base for charging devices.
- Backup Battery: The power supply includes a compartment for two 9V batteries (not included) to provide temporary power during a power outage, allowing the base to be lowered to a flat position. This is for emergency use only and not for normal operation.
Usage Features:
- Wireless Remote Control: The primary interface for controlling the base. It features dedicated buttons for head up/down, foot up/down, head tilt up/down, lumbar up/down, underbed lights, massage functions, and timer settings.
- Preset Positions: Includes "Zero Gravity," "Anti Snore," "TV/Read," and "Lounge" for quick adjustments to common comfort positions.
- Custom Programmable Positions: Two memory buttons ("MEM 1" and "MEM 2") allow users to save their preferred bed positions. To program, adjust the bed to the desired position, then press and hold the "Flat" button, followed by the desired memory button.
- Remote Control Pairing: The remote is pre-paired at the factory. If re-pairing is needed, ensure batteries are functional and the power cord is plugged in. Then, simultaneously press and hold the Head Up and Foot Up buttons on the remote, and the blue button on the control box cord until two beeps are heard.
- Remote Lock Safety Feature: The remote can be locked to prevent accidental movement of the bed. When locked, no buttons will function, and the "Lock" button will illuminate red when pressed. To lock/unlock, press and hold the "Lock" button for 5-7 seconds until the flashing stops.
- Massage Function: Offers back and foot massage with three intensity levels. Users can select from four massage types: Oscillate, Wave, Pulse, or Constant. A timer allows setting massage duration to 10, 20, or 30 minutes. The "Off/Last" button turns off all massage functions or recalls previous settings.
- Underbed LED Lights: Provides ambient lighting under the bed.
- Synchronization for Split Bases: For Twin XL and split sizes, two bases can be operated simultaneously with a single remote (wireless synchronization) or connected via a Sync Cable (wired synchronization).
Maintenance Features:
- No User Maintenance Required: The product is designed to have no maintenance requirements by the user. Users should not open motor compartments, alter wiring, modify the base, or change the product in any way, as this will void the warranty.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides guidance for common issues:
- If functions stop working or buttons activate wrong functions: Check wired connections under the bed, ensure no obstructions, and verify motors are plugged into correct inputs on the control box.
- If the remote lights don't illuminate or operate bed functions: Deactivate remote lock, ensure batteries are correctly installed or replaced.
- If remote lights illuminate but no functions operate: Check power cord connections, unplug the base for 1 hour to reset electronic components, and test with a different electrical outlet. A grounded electrical surge protector is recommended.
- Warranty Information: A 20-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
- Year 1: Covers defects, Malouf® provides replacement parts and pays for authorized labor and transportation costs within the continental US.
- Years 2-5: Malouf® provides replacement parts; purchaser bears all service, transportation, labor, and shipping costs.
- Years 6-20: Malouf® provides replacement parts for mechanical bed parts (excluding electronics, electrical components, drive motors, and massage motors); purchaser pays a prorated cost (1/15th of replacement cost multiplied by years since year 5), and bears all service, transportation, labor, and shipping costs.
