Q. HOW DOES NATURE PRODUCE OZONE?
A. Ozone is created electrically during active thunderstorms. The electrical
discharge creates a fresh sweet smell. The ultraviolet rays of the sun striking
hydrocarbons in our atmosphere also create ozone.
Q. IS OZONE SAFE?
A. Ozone in very high concentrations can be irritating to mucous membranes and
the respiratory system. We recommend you set the O
3
dial properly, either
for short-term temporary use or for longer-term use with no pets or people are
around.
Q. HOW DOES NATURE PRODUCE IONS?
A. Waterfalls, lightning, and the waves of the ocean all create negative ions.
Q. HOW LONG DOES THE FILTER LAST?
A. Because the lter traps unwanted particles, absorb odors, and reacts with the
UV light, the lter will last about 6 months after continuous use. Water cannot
wash away the HEPA since it traps very ne particles; the carbon lter will be
completely saturated and the photocatalytic property will be depleted. Without
changing the lter every 6 months, the efciency of the air purier will decrease
dramatically and very inefcient.
Mammoth offers industry cheapest replacement lters (all-in-one combo).
Q. IS THE PURIFIER DIFFICULT TO INSTALL?
A. No, the Classic Air Purier is easy to set up. For use without O
3
, the air purier
is already ready to be used. For O
3
, simply install the O
3
plates (located in a
separate box packaged inside the carton), plug it in, and turn the separate O
3
dial. Install the Classic Air Purier in any room with the purier recommended
four (4) or more feet off the ground.
Q. WHERE SHOULD I PLACE THE AIR PURIFIER IN MY HOME OR OFFICE?
A. The Classic Air Purier should be placed in the room where you have the most
pollutants. The purier is lightweight and easy to move so it is recommended
that you try placing it in a couple of locations to help decide what works best for
your environment. An elevated location is better to distribute ions and activated
oxygen more evenly. The Classic Air Purier works best if it is placed within 10
feet of a cold air return duct.
