Poor water filtration could be the issue, so replace the filter. The incoming water might be too hot, so connect the ice machine to a cold water supply. The incoming water pressure might be incorrect, so ensure it is within the range of 20-80 psi (137.9 - 551.5 kPa). Finally, the ice machine might not be level, so level it.

  If your Manitowoc Ice Maker isn't cycling into harvest mode, it could be due to several reasons. The six-minute freeze time lock-in might not have expired yet, so wait for it to expire. The ice thickness float switch might be dirty, so clean and sanitize the ice machine. The ice thickness float switch wire might be disconnected, so connect the wire. The ice thickness float switch might be out of adjustment, so adjust it. Finally, if there is uneven ice fill (thin at top of evaporator), see 'Shallow or Incomplete Cubes' on the next page.

Why is the ice sheet thick in my Manitowoc Ice Maker?

  If the ice sheet is too thick in your Manitowoc Ice Maker, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The water trough level might be too high, so adjust the ice thickness float. Alternatively, the power button might have been turned off/on during the freeze cycle, leaving ice on the evaporator, or the ice damper was opened then closed in the harvest cycle before the ice released, so allow the ice to thaw and release from the evaporator, then restart the machine.
