HIGH

SEPARATION

Connect
generator

channel
AUX

Insert
a
600-ohm
phono
shorting
plug
into
right
channel
AUX
INPUT.
Monitor
signal
at
PREAMP
OUTPUT
with
AC
VTVM.

Set
generator
frequency
at
20
Hz.
Set
generator
level
for

dB,
3
V
rms
output
as
indicated
on
the
VT
VM.

Observe
the
output
of
the
undriven
chan-
nel
on
the
VTVM.
Output
should
be
at
least
40 dB
below
the
O
dB
reference
level
indicating
a
40
-
dB
left
-
to
-
right
channel
separation.
Repeat
test
on
right
channel.
