This
knob
adjusts
the
volume.

BALance
control
This
rotary
dial
adjusts
the
balance
between
the
left
and
right
speakers
and
headphones.

PHONES
jack
For
connecting
a
pair
of
stereo
headphones.
Plugging
in
the
headphones
turns
the
speaker
sound
off.

MEMO
button
This
button
is
used
to
store
frequency
preset,
timer
setting
data,
preset
station
name
and
clock
data
in
the
memory.

copy
button
Press
to
copy
sound
from
DCC
to
TAPE.
The
sound
can
be
copied
regardless
of
the
source
being
played.
NOTE:
This
button
is
invalid
wnen
a
component
of
the
Marantz
Slim
Line
Series
is
connected
through
the
AL-Bus.

Infrared
sensor
The
infrared
signal
from
the
remote
control
enters
the
unit
through
this
window.
When
remote
controlling
the
unit,
point
the
remote
contro!
transmitter
toward
this
window.

BASS/TREBLE
tone
controls
The
bass
and
treble
frequencies
can
be
controlled
by
turning
the
respective
controls.
Turning
a
control
clockwise
toward
+
enhances
the
corresponding
frequencies
and
turning
it
counterclockwise
toward
attenuates
them.
BASS:
Controls
the
tone
of
low
frequencies.
TREBLE:
Controls
the
tone
of
high
frequencies.
CONTROL
BUTTONS
ON
THE
REMOTE
CONTROL
POWER
switch
Press
thé
switch
to
turn
the
power
of
the
unit
ON.
Pressing
the
switch
again
turns
the
power
OFF
and
the
unit
enters
the
standby
mode.
This
switch
also
turns
the
power
output
from
the
AC
OUTLET
on
the
rear
panel
ON/OFF.

These
buttons
select
the
source
to
be
played
or
recorded.

the
selection

a
tuner
preset

to
set
the
clock

to

select

CD
track
number,
etc.
The
functions
of
these
buttons

button
is
used
to
enter
the
number
“O”
as
well
as
to

operations.
