[8} TIMER button
Its function is the same as the TIMER button on the main unit.
This button is used in combination with the numeric buttons
and [4], +/— buttons [10] and MEMO button [fi].
9] CLOCK button
The function of this button is the same as that of the CLOCK
button (8 of the main unit.
This button is used in combination with the numeric buttons
3] and (@} and the MEMO button fii].
0] +/— buttons
11] MEMO button
This button is used when setting a timer program or the clock.
To set a timer program, press the TIMER button [8] first. To
set the clock, press the CLOCK button [S] first. Then use the
numeric buttons, +/— buttons and MEMO button.
[2] SLEEP button
Press to set the sleep timer,
13] P/CH &/¥ buttons
These buttons are used to increase/decrease the tuner preset
number, increase/decrease the CD track number or to go to
the next/previous track on a TAPE.
The function of this button is dependent on the function
button [2] selected
[4] VOLUME 4/¥ buttons
These buttons vary the listening volume. Press the + button
to increase It and the -- button to decrease It.
15} MUTE button
Press to mute the sound from the speakers. When this button
is pressed, the speakers are muted and “MUTE” appears on
the display of the main unit. Pressing the button again
cancels the muting function, which can also be cancelled by
pressing one of the function buttons.
(16) SYSTEM/DOOR/TRAY buttons ($R1020)
* |f components of the Marantz Slim Line Series are
connected through the AL-Bus, the SYSTEM button allows
the doors on the system components to be opened or
closed
NOTE:
The SYSTEM button is invalid if the components are not
connected through the AL-Bus.
* Pressing the DOOR button opens or closes the doors on
the system components.
To open or close the CD door alone, first press the CD
function button [2] then press the DOOR button. To open
or close the cassette door alone, first press the TAPE
function button [2} then press the DOOR button.
* Pressing the TRAY button opens or closes the CD tray or
the cassette tray. To open or close the CD tray, first press
the CD function button [2], then press the TRAY button.
The cassette door can be opened or closed with a similar
operation.
® If the PHONO input is selected using the remote controller,
the door of the SR1020 cannot be opened or closed from
the remote controller.
It can be opened or closed if the function button selected
before the PHONO button is pressed has been AUX 4,
AUX 2 or AM/FM.
[17] PROG button
This button is used to store a preset station in the memory or
to program a CD track.
8] MODE/«» button
The function of this button is.dependent on the function
button [2] selected, as described below.
When CD is selected:
Repeat (used to repeat the same tracks).
When TAPE or DCC is selected:
Direction (used to select side A or B).
When tuner is selected:
Stereo/Mono {used to switch the tuner reception mode
between stereo and mono).
When AUX 1/TV is selected:
Bilinguat (used to select the TV audio multiplex mode).
When AUX 2/LD is selected:
Sound {used to select the LD audio mode).
When a VCR is selected:
Bilingual (used to select the VCR audio mode).

[19] DCC REC button (Append)
When this button is pressed, the deck advances the new tape
to be recorded until the start position of the recordable tape
and enters the record-pause mode. If recording is to. be
started from the middle of a tape, the deck searches the
position where the previous recording was ended and enters
the record-pause mode.
20) TAPE REC button
Press to REC PAUSE.
21) REC-CANCEL button
Press to cancel the record mode of the tape deck or DCC
deck
The deck rewinds iape io the recording start point, performs
the same operation as Rec muting then enters the record-
pause mode.
22} PAUSE (II) button
Press to pause playback or recording of the TAPE deck or
DCC deck.
For details, refer to the instruction manual of your TAPE deck
or DCC deck.
23, DISPLAY button
The function of this button is dependent on the function
button [2] selected, as described below
When CD's selected:
Time (used to switch the displayed time between
elapsed time and remaining time).
When DCC is selected:
Text (with DCC, used to display character information)
When TUNER is selected:
Text (invalid).
When AUX 1/TV is selected:
OSD (used to conirol the on-screen display of TV).
When AUX 2/LD is selected:
OSD (used to control the on-screen display of LD).
When a VCR is selected:
Slow (used for slow playback of videotape).
