Replacing the dongle with a new dongle version

users that have to replace the dongle with a new version of the dongle must read the
instructions below to correctly replace the dongle with this new version.
Old dongle and new dongle
Anti-Static Precautions
Important! Static electricity can destroy electronic
components. Follow these ESD precautions to prevent damage
to the product and injury to the user.
Carry out the service at an anti-static workstation.
Wear a grounded anti-static wristband.
Touch a grounded conductor every few minutes to discharge any
static buildup.
Hold components by their edges only. Do not touch the surfaces or
any of the contacts of the PCBs.

Replacing the Dongle Procedure

Power Down and Disconnect

Switch the controller OFF and disconnect the power cable from the controller.

Remove Controller Back Cover

Unscrew the right hand back cover using 7 screws (Torx T-10).

Remove Cover Plate

Slide the cover plate from the controller.

Remove Old Dongle

Locate and remove the old dongle from the DMX board.

Insert New Dongle

Insert the new dongle, ensuring the sticker faces the controller's backside.

Power Up and Verify

Power up the controller, check the screen status field shows 'LIVE'.

Close Controller

Close the controller after verifying the operation.
