The ME05 earphones are designed to deliver high-quality audio with a focus on clarity and accuracy. They feature a remote and microphone for hands-free control of audio playback and calls. The microphone is strategically placed closer to the mouth to enhance vocal clarity and reduce ambient noise during calls. Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning Ear Tips and Bodies: It is important to periodically clean the ear tips and bodies of the earphones to maintain consistent audio performance. Mild soap or isopropyl alcohol can be used for cleaning ear tips.
  • Replaceable Acoustic Filters: The ME05 features replaceable acoustic filters located under the silicone eartips. Two spare filters are included in the package.
    • Filter Removal: Turn the filter counter-clockwise to remove.
    • Filter Cleaning Process:
      1. Remove tips from earphone bodies.
      2. Remove acoustic filter by turning counter-clockwise.
      3. Fully submerge the acoustic filter in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes to loosen debris, dirt, or wax.
      4. Apply hydrogen peroxide to a clean cotton swab or soft cloth to gently scrub the acoustic mesh. Let it dry completely.
  • Storage: Store the earphones in a clean, dry environment, preferably in the provided canvas case or leather box, to prevent damage.
  • Cable Handling: When disconnecting from an audio source, always hold the plug at the end of the cable and pull to disconnect, rather than pulling on the cable itself, to prevent damage.
  • Durability: The solid brass construction ensures durability, and unlike brass plating, solid brass will maintain its appearance over time.

Care and Precautions

  • Avoid storing other items in the case along with the earphones to prevent damage.
  • Do not drop, sit on, or expose the earphones to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Hearing Health: Avoid listening at excessively loud volumes or for prolonged periods. If ringing, discomfort, or sensitivity to high frequencies occurs, reduce volume. It is recommended to listen at a comfortable level and then reduce the volume by another 10% or more. If co-workers can hear your music, it's likely too loud. Consult an audiologist for hearing tests if concerned.
  • NIHL Prevention: Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) is preventable. Avoid exposure to sounds louder than 110 decibels in a single event or over 85 decibels for extended periods. Indicators of NIHL include hearing loss and tinnitus. Follow the rule: "too loud, too close or too long."
