WARRANTY
SilverEagle™byMatcowarrantsitsairtoolsforaperiodof1year
totheconsumer.WewillrepairanySESeriesairtoolcoveredunder
thiswarrantywhichprovestobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship
duringthewarrantyperiod.Inordertohaveyourtoolrepaired,return
the tool to any Silver Eagle™ Authorized Warranty Center, freight
prepaid.Pleaseincludeacopyofyourproofofpurchaseandabrief
descriptionoftheproblem.Thetoolwillbeinspectedandifanypartor
partsarefoundtobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship,thetoolwill
berepairedfreeofchargeandreturnedtoyoufreightprepaid.
Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificrights.Youmayalsohaveotherrights
whichvaryfromstatetostate.
The foregoing obligation is Matco’s sole liability under this or any
impliedwarrantyandundernocircumstancesshallMatcobeliablefor
anyincidentalorconsequentialdamages.
Note:Somestatesdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidental
orconsequentialdamages so the above limitation or exclusionmay
notapplytoyou.
AIR SUPPLY
Tools of this class operate on a wide range of air pressures. It is
recommended that air pressure of these tools measures 90 PSI at
thetoolwhilethetoolisrunningfreely.Higherpressureandunclean
air will shorten tool life because of faster wear and may create a
hazardouscondition.
Waterintheairlinewillcausedamagetothetool.Draintheairtank
daily.Cleantheairinletfilterscreenonatleastaweeklyschedule.The
recommendedhook-upprocedurecanbeviewedinFigure1.
The air inlet used for connecting air supply has standard 1/4" NPT
AmericanThread.Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensatefor
unusuallylongairhoses(over25feet).Minimumhosediametershould
be3/8"I.D.andfittingsshouldhavethesameinsidedimensions.
OPERATION
Alwaysplaceachiselinthehammerandholdthetooldowntothe
workbeforeoperating.Damagetothetoolortheretainermayresultif
thisprecautioninnotfollowed.
The chisel retainers are not designed for complete safety against
accidentalreleaseofcuttersorhammers.Toavoidinjury,thethrottle
mustneverbedepressedunlessthechiselisheldfirmlyagainstthe
workplace.Whentoolisnotinactualuse,thechiselmustberemoved.
During operation, safety goggles should always be used to guard
againstflyingrustandchips.Whenusingtool,regulatethespeedso
thatthechiselisnotbeingdrivenoutofthecylinder.Ifpistonisallowed
tostrikethecylinderwall,internaldamagewillresult.
Tochangechisel,pullbackonspringhookandinsertchisel.Release
springhook.
Toregulateair,turnairregulatorknoboutformaximumairpressure
andinforminimum.
LUBRICATION
Lubricatetheairmotordailywithqualityairtooloil.Ifnoairlineoiler
isused,run1/2ounceofairtooloilthroughthetoolbysquirtingoil
intothetool'sairinletorintothenearestconnectiontotheairinlet,
reconnectingairsupply,andthenrunningtool.Donotusemorethan
1/2ounceofoil,asoverfillingwillreducetheperformanceofthetool.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Changesinairsupplypressureorqualitymaycauselossofpower
orerraticaction.Reducedcompressoroutput,excessivedrainonthe
airline,moistureorrestrictionsinairpipes,ortheuseofimproperly
sizedairhosesorconnections(orhosesandconnectionsinpoor
condition)mayreduceairpressure.
Gritorgumdepositsinthetoolmaycutpowerandmaybecorrected
bycleaningtheairstrainerandflushingoutthetoolwithgumsolvent
oiloranequalmixtureofSAE10oilandkeroseneasdetailedin
theLUBRICATIONsection.Ifairsupplyisfunctioningproperlyand
cleaningorlubricatingtooldoesnotcorrectperformanceproblems,
disconnecttoolfromairsupplyandcontactthenearestSilver
Eagle™authorizedservicecenter.
