Assembly of the pipes
1. Place the tube with the drive head (lower pipe) 
and the upper pipe on a clean, even surface, so 
that both ends can be inserted into each other. 
The tube with the drive head (lower pipe) and 
the bolt guard of the upper pipe must point 
upwards.
Caution! The open ends of the tubes must be 
clean and free of dirt!
2. Loosen the screw of the connector.
3. Press the latch down and push the tube with 
the drive head (lower tube) into the connector 
as far as it will go. Release the latch. Slide the 
top tube back and forth until it snaps into the 
connector. See A 39.

4. If the two tubes are connected to one another, 
slide the latch guard into the notch and tighten 
the screw on the connecting piece. See A 40.

Disassembly of the tubes
1. Place the hedge trimmer on a clean, even 
surface and loosen the screw of the connecting 
piece. Pull the latch protection out of the notch.
2. Press the latch down. This triggers the locking 
of the connector. See A41.

3. Pull the upper tube out of the connector.
Assembly of the cutting attachment
Warning!
The blades are very sharp. Do not handle the 
blades if the blade cover is not covered. Wear 
gloves always, if you work with the blade or in its 
vicinity.
1. Make sure the cutting attachment is locked in 
the storage / transport position (folded back) and 
the blade cover is pulled over the blades.
2. Push the outer tube into the clamping of 
the gearbox housing as far as it will go. The 
outer tube must be pushed completely into the 
gearbox housing. If you feel resistance in front of 
the stop, turn the outer tube until the wedges of 
the inner main shaft (drive shaft) engage in the
