Software Updates
Software updates are an important part of maintenance of the console. The console software controls
all console functions and frame communication, and the software should be always be updated to the
most current software release. The console, by default, will only upgrade to a higher software revision. If
circumstances require a software downgrade to a lower revision number, the Force Updates field must
be checked. We recommend contacting Customer Technical Service before trying this option.
Internet/RSCU update
Club ID & DAPI Environment
The Club ID and DAPI Environment settings determine what software packages are available to the
console via RSCU. If the appropriate software version doesn’t appear to be available via internet
updates, confirm that the Club ID and DAPI Environment are properly configured. Also consider
checking that the console is properly connected to the internet.
Consoles set to the default Club ID & DAPI Environment will receive all regular software updates.
Changing these settings is appropriate when Asset Management is in use, or to access proprietary
software via RSCU – consider consulting with local Customer Tech Support before making changes.
