Custom Themes
Touch & TouchXL consoles can optionally be given a custom ‘theme’ by owners. Asset Management is
the recommended tool to set a custom Theme on consoles at a facility – refer to instructions there for
specific details.
Themes can be created on a computer and saved to a USB drive, then loaded to the console.
The following aspects can be customized:
1. Logo
2. Welcome Screen
3. Workout Background
4. Theme Color
To create a USB with a Custom Theme or Logo:
1. Prepare a USB drive.
2. Create this older path on USB (Matrix>UCB>CUSTOMLOGO).
3. Open Microsoft Paint and paste high quality image onto paint.
4. Center the image and resize it to 128x64 pixels (including the size of the background and with
the image centered in the background). NOTE: This is very important.
5. Save image as .PNG file to the CUSTOMLOGO folder on the USB.
To upload a Custom Theme to a Console via USB:
1. Access the Product Dashboard by touching and holding on the Matrix logo, top center of display.
2. Press the “Machine Settings” button.
3. Type “3 0 0 1 enter” on the keypad that appears to access Machine Settings menu.
4. Touch on the “Asset Management” tab.
5. Go to the Custom Logo tab.
6. Press the down arrow to set timeout for the custom logo (how long before the image appears).
7. Press up arrow and locate Load New Image from USB. Insert the USB and press the check mark.
8. Locate your image name and press the check mark. Then cycle power on the unit.
9. The image should appear after the amount of time you set in Step 8.
Demo Mode
Demo Mode enables a console to operate without a functioning/attached frame or emulator.
It can be used to troubleshoot possible MCB/LCB faults or communication errors.
To enable/disable Demo Mode:
1. Access the Product Dashboard by touching and holding on the Matrix logo, top center of display.
2. Press the “Machine Settings” button.
3. Type “3 0 0 1 enter” on the keypad that appears to access Machine Settings menu.
4. Touch on the “General” tab.
5. Touch on the Demo Mode box to enable or disable.
