Safety and Protection:

The B60 unit incorporates several built-in safety features:

Short Circuit Protection: Safeguards against excessive current flow due to short circuits.
Overload Protection: Prevents damage from drawing too much current.
Thermal Protection: The transformer within the unit is fitted with an embedded thermal switch. If the transformer's temperature exceeds acceptable levels, this switch will activate, automatically shutting off the supply to the transformer by "tripping" the incoming MCB (CP1). Once the transformer temperature returns to a safe level, the thermal switch resets, and the MCB can be closed.
Integrated MCB: The unit is supplied with a 63 Amp miniature circuit breaker, providing both overload and short circuit protection specifically for the unit itself.

Installation Requirements:

Competent Person: Installation must be carried out by a competent person in accordance with the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671 (17th Edition or later), and current Building Regulations.
Isolation of Supply: It is crucial to ensure the electrical supply is disconnected before commencing installation or removing the cover of the B60 unit.
Location: The unit must be installed in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated location. It should never be covered, and its ventilation must not be restricted.
