- Thermal Protection: The transformer within the unit is fitted with an embedded thermal switch. If the transformer's temperature exceeds acceptable levels, this switch will activate, automatically shutting off the supply to the transformer by "tripping" the incoming MCB (CP1). Once the transformer temperature returns to a safe level, the thermal switch resets, and the MCB can be closed.
- Integrated MCB: The unit is supplied with a 63 Amp miniature circuit breaker, providing both overload and short circuit protection specifically for the unit itself.

- Competent Person: Installation must be carried out by a competent person in accordance with the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671 (17th Edition or later), and current Building Regulations.
