Why are my wash or rinse temperatures wrong in my Maytag Washer?

If the wash or rinse temperatures are incorrect in your Maytag Washer, first ensure that the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed and that both hoses are attached to the washer and faucet, allowing hot and cold water to flow to the inlet valve. Check that the inlet valve screens are not clogged and that there are no kinks in the hoses. This washer uses cooler wash and rinse water temperatures than your previous washer, including cooler hot and warm washes.
