qVehicle Identification Number
The vehicle identification number legally
identifies your vehicle. The number is on
a plate attached to the left top side of the
dashboard. This plate can easily be seen
through the windshield.

qChassis Number
Typ e A (With cover)
Open the cover shown in the figure to
check the chassis number.
Typ e B (Without cover)
The chassis number is indicated in the
position under the floor mat shown in the
figure.
Front side trim
Scuff plate
To confirm the number, consult an
Authorized Mazda Dealer because the
scuff plate and front side trim must be
removed. The chassis number is also
indicated on the dashboard. Refer to
Vehicle Identification Number on page
10-2.
