Disconnect the negative battery cable as a safety precaution.
Procedure to detach the selector lever knob using a specific tool.
Remove the center console tray and shift bezel for access.
Remove upper, shift, and side panels as part of access.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the selector lever component.
Detach the selector cable from the selector lever end.
Unscrew and remove the nuts securing the selector lever component.
Detach and remove the main selector lever component assembly.
Disconnect the negative battery cable before starting indicator work.
Remove center console tray and shift bezel for indicator access.
Detach the upper panel and selector lever knob.
Detach the shift panel to access indicator components.
Install all removed parts in the reverse sequence of removal.
Disconnect the negative battery cable before working on the selector cable.
Remove the selector lever knob as a preliminary step.
Detach the selector cable from the selector lever end.
Remove air cleaner case and battery tray for transaxle access.
Detach the selector cable's transaxle end from the bracket.
Remove the cable outer end from the bracket at the transaxle.
Remove the clip from the selector cable end at the transaxle.
Detach the selector cable end from the manual shaft lever.
Remove the grommet and nuts securing the selector cable at the transaxle.
Disconnect the negative battery cable prior to adjustment.
Remove console tray, bezel, and upper panel for adjustment access.
Detach selector knob and shift panel for access.
Move the selector lever to the Park position for adjustment.
Release the safety lock on the selector cable at the lever end.
Align the manual shaft on the transaxle to the Park position.
Secure the selector cable by locking the pieces and safety lock.
Reinstall all components in the reverse order of removal.
Inspect the selector lever operation after adjustment.
