Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Charging: The battery pack needs to be charged before use. It should be charged whenever it's noticeably running down or fails to perform tasks easily. The charger is for indoor use only and should be unplugged when not in use. Avoid charging or storing the battery in extreme temperatures (below 0°C and above 40°C). Allow the battery pack to cool down for approximately 30 minutes after use before recharging.
  • Blade Lubrication: For easier operation and longer life, the cutting blades should be lubricated before and after each use. A suitable lubricant (any kind of lubrication oil) should be applied between the two blades.
  • Cleaning: The unit should be cleaned with a stiff nylon brush to remove any debris. Never use water to clean the unit. The blade rail should be cleaned and treated with fine lubricating oil after each use.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a safe, dry room, allowing the motor to cool down beforehand. Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Use the original packaging to store the unit when not in use.
  • Battery Pack Care: Keep the battery pack clean and dry, wiping terminals with a dry cloth if dirty. Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical shock, heat, or fire. Remove the battery from the equipment when not in use and keep it out of reach of children. In case of battery leakage, avoid contact with skin or eyes; wash affected areas with water and seek medical advice.
  • Professional Repair: If the unit requires repairs, especially concerning internal wiring or the On/Off switch, contact the service centre. Damaged or modified battery packs should not be used and must be disposed of according to local regulations.
  • Blade Sharpening/Inspection: If the cutting blade becomes dull or damaged, it should be sharpened or inspected/overhauled by a professional.
  • Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting guide is provided to address common issues such as the trimmer not operating, intermittent operation, hot cutting blade, low cutting time, slow blades, or the battery charge indicator not lighting up. Solutions range from charging the battery and applying lubricant to contacting the service centre for more complex issues.

Safety Information:

The manual emphasizes critical safety warnings, including wearing ear protection, goggles, and a helmet during operation. It warns against using the trimmer near electrical power lines and advises checking hedges for foreign objects. Two-hand operation is recommended for control, and users should hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces to avoid electric shock if the blade contacts hidden wiring. The battery pack must be removed before any adjustment or maintenance. The device is not designed for commercial, trade, or industrial applications, and its use in such settings will invalidate the guarantee.
