OPERATION
1. Switch on the audio interface with the POWER button. The button lights red.
2. As soon as the audio interface is switched on it is recognized by the computer as USB audio
device.
3. With the button MIC/LINE adjust the Mic/Instrument inputs to the connected sources:
• button pressed: input switched to high-impedance instrument level.
• button released: input switched to microphone level.
4. When using phantom-powered microphones, switch on the +48V phantom power at the XLR
inputs. For this purpose, press the PHANTOM +48V button. The +48V phantom power LED
lights red.
NOTE: If the phantom power is switched on, no microphones with unbalanced output
must be connected. Otherwise these microphones may be damaged. During the
stabilization phase(approx. 1 minute), you must not change any connection.
5. With the Mic/Instrument L/R controls and RCA IN control adjust the amplification for the input
sources to such an extend that the corresponding Signal LED lights green. The overload
indication Clip LED should not light or only light shortly during signal peaks. If it lights
permanently. turn back the corresponding control.
6. With the MIX control adjust the desired signal source for the analog outputs of the audio
interface:
• left position PREAMP: preamplified signal of the input source.
• right position CPU: audio signal coming via the USB connection.
• center position MIX: both signal sources(PREAMP and CPU) can be heard.
7. Adjust the desired main output volume and headphone volume with the LEVEL control.
WARNING:
1. Do not shack the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.
2. When choosing the installation spot, please make sure that the device is not exposed to
extreme heat, moisture or dust.
3. The ambient temperature must always be between -5°C and +45°C. Keep away from direct
insulation(particularly in cars) and heaters.
4. The relative humidity must not exceed 50% with an ambient temperature of 45°C.
5. This device must only be operated in an altitude between -20 and 2000 M over NN.
6. Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation
by persons not qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of
unprofessional operation!
7. Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft
and damp cloth.
8. Please use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
9. Please consider that unauthorized modifications on the device are forbidden due to safety
reasons!
10. If this device will be operated in any way different to the one described in this manual, the
product may suffer damages. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to dangers like
short-circuit, burns, electric shock, etc.
