the handle to the center position.
• Result: The machine should move forward, in the direction of the steering wheels, then
come to an abrupt stop.
33. Press and hold the Function Enable Switch on the control handle.
34. Slowly move the control handle rearward/upward until the machine begins to move, then return
the handle to the center position.
• Result: The machine should move rearward, in the direction of the platform entry, then come
to an abrupt stop.
Note: The brakes must be able to hold the machine on any slope it is able to climb.
Test Limited Drive Speed
35. Press the lift function select button.
36. Press the Function Enable Switch. Raise the platform approximately 6.6 ft / 2 m from the ground.
• Result: The pothole guards should deploy.
37. Press the drive function select switch.
38. Press and hold the Function Enable Switch on the control handle.
39. Slowly move the control handle to the full drive position.
• Result: The maximum achievable drive speed with the platform raised should not exceed
0.72 ft per second / 22 cm/s.
• If the drive speed with the platform raised exceeds 0.72 ft per second / 22 cm/s, immediately
tag and remove the machine from service.
