Factory Installed Manual Gas Shutoff Valve
A manual gas shutoff valve is factory installed and located on the right side of the fireplace. Remove the slotted cover plate on
the right side of the fireplace to access the valve handle. To operate the manual gas shutoff valve, insert the tip of the glass
latch tool into the hole in the ball valve handle, or use your hand. Rotate the tool downward 90-Degrees or until it stops to fully
close the Valve. To open valve, insert tool in valve bracket rotate upward 90-degrees or until it stops.
Gas Inlet Fittings Information
Caution: Before you run the gas line, read, unders tand and properly calculate the required gas line size.
Improper (too small) gas line size application can lead to improper burner ignition and can cause property
damage and/or injury. If you are not qualified or certified to run a gas line, do not proceed . Contact a
qualified Gas Plumber.
The gas inlet fitting supplied with this Fireplace provides a 1/2” female NPT fitting. This requires you to supply a ½” NPT male
fitting for connection to this appliance.
Based on the gas line size you have selected use an appropriate NPT fitting to adapt and connect to the 1/2” male NPT flex end
adapter.
