Overview

This document describes the installation and operation of the ML39, ML47, ML54, ML60 & ML72 Floor Light Kit for Menlota fireplaces, as well as the associated RGBW remote controls (FUT095/FUT096) and the WiFi & BT 5-in-1 LED Strip Controller (WB5) with Tuya Smart Life APP integration.

Floor Light Kit Installation Instructions

The floor light kit is designed for Menlota fireplaces and includes LED light assemblies, an LED harness, an LED controller, an LED power supply, a remote wall mount, an LED remote control, and AAA batteries. It is highly recommended to install the floor lights before finishing the fireplace, as it provides easier access to the front access panels. However, installation on a finished unit is still possible.

Installation Steps:

  1. Safety First: Ensure no live power is running to the fireplace.
  2. Remove Existing Floor Plate: If a floor plate is installed, remove it. The kit includes a new floor plate.
  3. Remove Air Channels (ML54, ML60, ML72): Remove the six circled screws to detach the air channels.
  4. Remove Pilot Bracket (ML54, ML60, ML72): Remove the two screws securing the pilot bracket to the firebox floor. Move the pilot bracket, pilot, and wires to the right side, out of the way.
  5. Remove Burner (All Units): Remove the four screws securing the burner to the firebox (two on each end). Slide the burner to the left and remove it, placing it in a safe location.
  6. Remove Air Shutter Bracket: Remove the four screws securing the air shutter bracket to the firebox (two on each side). Pull the air shutter bracket and venturi tube to the right side, out of the way.
  7. Remove Light Cover Plates: Remove the light cover plates. There are two on ML39, ML47, and ML54 models, and three on ML60 and ML72 models. Each plate is fastened by six screws.
  8. Locate Auxiliary Power Connector: Remove the front-right access panel. Locate the white 2-pin female Molex auxiliary power connector. If the unit is finished, this connector can be found by removing the explosion plate or through the top access panel near the power and sync switches.
  9. Prepare LED Light Assemblies: Lay out the LED light assemblies, LED controller, LED harness, and power supply. The power source is prewired to the LED controller, which is prewired to the LED harness. The assemblies are installed from left to right.
  10. Install LED Light Assemblies:
    • The LED lights are attached to a shielded metal piece, which should be at the top when installed.
    • The left LED assembly requires its left-end wire connections to be looped together.
    • Place the left LED light assembly into the left cutout of the firebox, ensuring the looped connectors are on the far left and tucked into the firebox so only the gasket touches the firebox.
    • Repeat this process for the center and right LED light assemblies (if applicable), connecting them to the previous assembly's connectors before placing them into the firebox cutouts.
  11. Secure LED Light Assemblies: Screw the LED light assemblies into place using the same screws removed earlier. Do not overtighten, as this may break the glass or prevent a proper seal. Tighten until snug.
  12. Position Power Source and Control Module: Place the power source and control module on the floor of the unit, behind the front-right access panel. Position them to the right of the floor heat shield, ensuring the SET button on the controller is accessible from the top access panel for future use.
  13. Connect Power and Controller:
    • Connect the Molex connector from the power source to the auxiliary power connector on the right-side floor of the unit.
    • Connect the female end of the LED controller harness to the male end of the right-side LED light assembly connector.
  14. Sync Remote Control: Restore power to the fireplace. Within 3 seconds, press the "I" button of zone 1 on the LED light remote control. If successful, the LED lights will blink green three times slowly.
  15. Reassemble: Replace all components in reverse order of removal.

RGBW Remote Control (FUT095/FUT096) Description

These manuals describe two types of RGBW remote controls: FUT095 (with buttons) and FUT096 (touch screen). Both offer similar functionalities for controlling LED lights.

Function Description:

  • Control up to four different zones of LED lights.
  • Change color.
  • Dim/brighten lights.
  • Adjust warm/cool white.
  • Select different programs/modes.
  • Remark (FUT095/FUT096):
    • Hold "I" for white mode.
    • In white mode, press 'S-' for warm white, 'S+' for cool white.
    • In color mode, press 'S+/S-' for saturation control.
    • When 'M' is pressed, 'S+/S-' adjusts dynamic mode speed.
    • To dim all RGBW lights or change color, first press "Master ON", then use the color ring or brightness ring. For individual lights, first press "Zone ON", then use the color ring or brightness ring.

Important Technical Specifications (FUT095/FUT096):

  • Model No.: FUT095 (buttons), FUT096 (touch screen)
  • Voltage: 3V (AAA * 2PCS)
  • Transmission Frequency: 2.4GHz
  • Modulation Method: GFSK
  • Transmitting Power: 6dBm
  • Standby Power Consumption: 20uA
  • Control Distance: 30m
  • Size: 52.5 * 21 * 120mm

Usage Features (Linking & Unlinking):

  • Linking:
    1. Switch off the light, wait 10 seconds, then switch on again.
    2. When the light is on, short press any zone of "I" (ON) button one time within 3 seconds.
    3. The light blinks 3 times slowly, indicating successful linking.
    • Troubleshooting: If the light does not blink slowly, linking failed. Repeat the steps.
  • Unlinking:
    1. Switch off the light, wait 10 seconds, then switch on again.
    2. When the light is on, long press "I" (ON) button within 3 seconds.
    3. The light blinks 10 times quickly, indicating successful unlinking.
    • Troubleshooting: If the light does not blink quickly, unlinking failed. Repeat the steps.
  • Grouping: An endless number of lights can be added to a zone on the 4-channel remote by linking them to different zones, allowing flexible group combinations. One remote can control countless lamps/controllers, but one lamp/controller can only be controlled by four remotes (Max).

Maintenance Features (Remote Control):

  • If the indicated lamp blinks quickly, change the battery.
  • Use good quality batteries to avoid leakage.
  • Keep fingers off the touch ring when installing batteries to improve sensitivity. Use the remote 3 seconds after battery installation. Reinstall batteries if the touch ring has low sensitivity.
  • Do not use the remote in humid, high temperature, dusty, or high voltage environments. Store indoors in dry, static electricity-free environments.
  • Avoid using the remote near wide-range metal or strong electromagnetic wave areas, as it will affect the controlling distance.
