Function Description
The Lift Chair provides two primary functions: electric lifting and reclining. These functions are controlled via a wired remote control.
- Electric Reclining: To recline the chair back and footrest, the user presses the "UP" button on the remote control. This allows for a comfortable, laid-back position.
- Electric Lifting: The chair can be lifted to assist users in standing up. To return the chair back and footrest to their original, upright position, the user presses the "DOWN" button once. Pressing the "DOWN" button a second time will initiate the lifting mechanism, raising the entire chair to an elevated position. To lower the chair back to its original position, the "UP" button is pressed.
Usage Features
The Lift Chair is designed for ease of use and user safety, with several important considerations:
- Power Connection: The chair requires a direct current connection. The user plugs the direct current end of the cord into the AC Adapter outlet, and then inserts the AC adapter plug into a wall outlet for power.
- Remote Control: The chair is operated using a wired remote control with clearly marked "UP" and "DOWN" buttons for reclining and lifting functions. The remote control is designed to be stored in a pocket on the chair for convenience.
- Weight Capacity: The chair is designed for use by one adult at a time, with a maximum weight capacity of 330 LBS. It is crucial not to exceed this weight limit to ensure safe operation and prevent damage.
- Safe Operation: Users are advised to sit down gently to avoid tipping. When reclining, the chair should be moved slowly, ensuring no children or pets are in close proximity. The recliner should be fully closed before getting out. It is important not to sit on the footrest when it is open, or on the arms of the chair, to prevent tipping.
- Indoor Use Only: The chair is intended for indoor use and should not be used outdoors.
