9. Remove the seawater pump impeller for extended storage.
a. Remove the seawater pump cover mounting screws.
b. Remove the seawater pump cover and gasket.
IMPORTANT: The seawater pump impeller material can be damaged by prolonged
exposure to direct sunlight.
c. Remove the pump impeller and store away from direct sunlight.
d. Reinstall the seawater pump cover for storage.

IMPORTANT: Place a CAUTION tag at the instrument panel and in the engine
compartment stating that “Seawater pump Impeller is out – Do not operate engine.”
Also, warn that the seacock must be opened or the water inlet hose reconnected prior
to starting the engine.
