2. The oil must come up to the fill hole. If the oil level is low, contact your
authorized Mercury MerCruiser dealer for appropriate service. Do not
operate engine if this oil level is low.

CAUTION
A sudden loss of pressure can cause hot coolant to boil and discharge
violently resulting in serious injury from burns. Allow the engine to cool down
before removing the coolant pressure cap.
IMPORTANT: Check the engine coolant before starting the engine.
1. Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir. The coolant should be
just above the upper plate inside the reservoir with the engine cold. Add
the specified coolant as required.
