This document describes the MiBoxer WL5 WiFi 5-in-1 LED Strip Controller, a versatile device designed for controlling LED strips with advanced features and connectivity options.

Function Description:

The WL5 controller utilizes advanced PWM control technology to manage LED strip lighting. A key feature is its memory function, which ensures that the light status remains the same as before the power was turned off. It supports both wireless and 4G control via the MiBoxer APP, offering convenient remote management. The controller is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, enabling voice control for hands-free operation. It also supports smartphone APP control, allowing users to select RGB colors, adjust color temperature (2700K-6500K), dim lights, control saturation, set timing for ON/OFF, and choose from 16 color-changing modes. Group control is also possible, allowing multiple devices to be managed randomly by the APP. The device is compatible with 2.4GHz RF remote controllers, providing an alternative control method.

The controller features an auto-synchronization function, allowing multiple controllers to work synchronously even if started at different times, provided they are controlled by the same remote and are in the same dynamic mode with the same speed. This auto-transmitting capability means one strip controller can transmit signals from the remote control to another controller within 30m, extending the effective control distance limitlessly as long as there is another strip controller within 30m.

The SET button on the device serves multiple purposes. A long press for 3 seconds initiates a device reset and puts it into Smart Link mode, indicated by a quickly blinking red light. A short press of the SET button allows switching between different output modes, with the indicating lamp flickering in different colors to correspond to the selected mode (White Light, Yellow Light, Red Light, Green Light, Blue Light Flickering for Single Color, Dual White, RGB, RGBW, and RGB+CCT modes respectively).

Indicating Light Instructions:

The device features an indicator light with various states:

• Red light always-on: Disconnected from network
• Red light blinking: Smart Link mode
• Green light always-on: Networking successfully
• Green light blinking: Received signal
• Yellow light blinking: Device malfunction

Usage Features:

• APP Downloading: The MiBoxer APP can be downloaded from the APP Store (for iOS 9.0 and above) or Google Play (for Android 5.0 and above), or by scanning the provided QR code.
• Account Registration: Users need to register a MiBoxer account within the APP to use its features.
• Device Addition: Devices are added by clicking the "+" icon in the device list and following the APP's instructions. After successful addition, pulling down to refresh the list updates the device status.
• Device Management: Device names can be modified, and devices can be deleted by sliding the device list item to the left and selecting "Edit" or "Delete." If a device is shared, deleting it will also remove it from the friends' device lists.
• Group Control: Groups can be created and managed within the APP. Group control is primarily for APP control and may not work with voice control; for voice control, third-party APPs should be used.
• APP Control Interface: The APP allows users to dim lights, adjust speed in dynamic modes (speed+ and speed-), activate "Sunset mode" (gradually OFF within 10 minutes), and "Good night mode" (gradually OFF within 1 minute).
• Third-Party Voice Control: The controller is compatible with "Mi-Light Smart" on third-party platforms like Amazon Alexa. Detailed instructions can be found within the APP's "Voice Control" section.
• Device Sharing: Devices can be shared with friends, allowing them to control the device. Shared devices cannot be re-shared. Sharing can be edited or deleted from the "My sharing" section.
• LED Strip Connection: The controller supports various LED strip configurations: CCT, RGB, RGBW, Single Color, and RGB+CCT. It is crucial that the controller's input voltage matches the required voltage of the LED strips.

Maintenance Features:

• Safety Precautions:
  • Always verify that the input voltage of the constant voltage power supply matches the controller's requirements and ensure correct cathode and anode connections.
  • The working voltage is DC12~24V; voltages higher than 24V will damage the controller.
  • Non-professional users should not dismantle the controller to avoid fire or electric shock.
  • The operating temperature range is -20~60°C. Avoid direct sunlight, moist, or high-temperature environments.
  • Do not use the controller near metal areas or high magnetic fields, as this can adversely affect the control distance.
• Environmental Suitability: The controller is not suitable for use in moist conditions.
