e. Power on device – Depress the power button on the C-cover to power on the device.
f. Run software tool – At the device OS, use Windows Explorer, navigate to USB drive and run:
STEP2_DisplayModuleReplacement.cmd. Follow prompts, device will restart. Verify touch by running
nger across screen to check that touch is working.
g. Power off device – Use device OS to power down device.
h. Remove C-cover.
i. Remove rSSD.
IMPORTANT: Calibration Failure – If calibration tool returns an error message that indicates calibration
failure, see AB-cover Touch Calibration Retry section on page 57 for details on how to proceed. This must
be carried out at this time and prior to complete re-assembly of device.
6. FPC RF Shield Installation – Install 2 new shield lids above the 4 AB-cover FPC connectors by orienting them
along the outline of the shield fences.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to install the correct shield type onto the corresponding shield fence. The left-
hand shield has 2 rectangular embosses in the shape of connector heads and the right-hand shield has 3
rectangular embosses.
Prior to shield installation, visually inspect each shield to ensure that shield ngers are not bent such that
they impeded the installation process.
Push the shields vertically downwards onto the fences and snap into place. Ensure the shields are evenly
pressed along the entire perimeter of each fence and that the front shield prongs are pressed rmly
against the shield fence.
7. Connect WiFi Antenna – Reconnect the left WiFi antenna cable (see illustration below).
8. RF Bafe Installation – Install 2 new RF bafes on top of the shield by peeling off the adhesive protector
sheet and snapping them into place near the back of the shields. Firmly press your nger along the top of the
RF Bafe wall to adhere adhesive to shield.
