C. Scanning Medium Format Film
To scan medium format film, use the 6 x 22-cm film holder. This film holder can
accommodate the following: one piece of 6 x 17-cm panoramic film; four pieces of
6 x 4.5-cm film; two pieces of 6 x 6-cm film; two pieces of 6 x 7-cm film; or two pieces
of 6 x 9-cm film.
1. Load the film face down inside the holder. Slide the film along the slots of the
holder until the films is fully loaded.
2. Raise the scanner lid, then place the film holder with the film on the scan bed. The
holder should be positioned against the top ruler of the scanner, with the
calibration window facing toward the back of the scanner.
3. To complete your scanning, follow the procedures outlined in scanning 35mm
filmstrips, from steps 3 to 10.

To make sure the auto multiframe
cropping feature performs correctly,
align the holders front edge against the
top ruler of the scanner.
Note that the arrow marks on both the
film holder and scanner's top ruler are
pointing to each other.
