It operates by circulating refrigerant between an indoor and an outdoor unit to regulate room temperature. The unit features various modes such as AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, and FAN, allowing users to select the desired comfort setting. Advanced functions like ECO/GEAR, Sleep Operation, Breeze Away, Active Clean, and Refrigerant Leakage Detection enhance its performance and user experience.

Usage Features
- Remote Control Operation: The unit is primarily operated via a remote control (models RG10A(B2S)/BGEF, RG10A(B2S)/BGEFU1, etc.) with a signal receiving range of 8m. The remote allows users to select modes (AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN), adjust temperature (16°C/60°F to 30°C/86°F), set fan speed (AU, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%), and control swing functions.
- Manual Operation: In case of a lost remote, the unit can be manually operated to activate FORCED AUTO, FORCED COOLING, or turn off the unit.
- Timer ON/OFF: Users can set a timer to automatically turn the unit on or off, with settings adjustable in 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
- Swing Function: Controls the horizontal louver movement and can initiate vertical louver auto swing (model dependent).
- LED Display: The indoor unit's LED display can be turned on or off. Pressing the LED button for more than 5 seconds can display the actual room temperature.
- BOOST Function: Quickly reaches the desired temperature by blowing cool air with the strongest wind setting in COOL mode, or heat air in HEAT mode.
- ECO/GEAR Function: Optimizes energy efficiency by allowing selection between ECO mode, GEAR(75%), and GEAR(50%) settings.
- Silence Function: Reduces compressor and fan operation to lower noise levels, ideal for quiet environments.
- Breeze Away (some units): Avoids direct airflow on the body for a more comfortable experience.
