Changing a halogen lamp
,
Before any cleaning or
maintenance work is carried out, the
cooker hood must be disconnected
from the mains supply. Ensure that:
it is switched off at the isolator, or
it is switched off at the wall socket
and the plug removed, or
the fuse from the fused spur
connection unit is withdrawn, or
the mains fuse is withdrawn, or
the screw-out fuse is removed (in
countries where this is applicable).
Please note that this appliance has
two electrical connections, and both
have to be disconnected for
cleaning or maintenance work.
Exercise caution when changing
halogen lamps. They get very hot
during use, and remain hot for some
time after being switched off.
Do not touch the surface directly
when changing a lamp, as grease
particles from your fingers will
adhere to the surface and damage
it. Please follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
^
To access the halogen lamp, first
remove the lamp cover a.
^
Pull the old halogen lamp b out of
its socket and replace it with a new
one.
^ Replace the lamp cover a carefully,
making sure it engages securely in
position.
,
Never use the lighting without
the lamp cover a in place. It has a
filter designed to cut out harmful
rays.
