Check whether
the safety cut-out has been activated
(see "Safety cut-out").
the appliance has been switched on
at the mains and that the mains fuse
is in order. If the fuse has blown, con-
tact an electrician or the Service de-
partment.
... the oil has an unpleasant odour.
Check whether the oil
is suitable for frying.
needs changing.
... the food is not crisp and brown.
Ensure that the oil is hot enough and
that the frying basket is not overloaded.
Fry for longer if necessary.
