Why won't my Miele Cooktop turn on?

  If your Miele cooktop or cooking zones won't switch on, the circuit breaker may have tripped. Reset the circuit breaker, referring to the data plate for the correct fuse rating. If resetting doesn't work, there may be a technical fault. In that case, disconnect the appliance from the power supply for about 1 minute by tripping the breaker, removing the fuse, or tripping the GFCI. If it still won't switch on, contact a qualified electrician or Miele Customer Service.

  If a cooking zone or the entire Miele cooktop switches off automatically, it could be due to the cooking zone being in use for too long, or the overheat protection being triggered. You can switch the cooking zone back on to continue use.

  If the sensors on your Miele cooktop are too sensitive or not reacting at all, it could be due to a change in their sensitivity level. Make sure the cooktop isn't in direct sunlight or strong artificial light, and that the area isn't too dark. Also, ensure that neither the cooktop nor the sensors are covered. Remove any cookware and clean the cooktop to remove any food residues. Interrupt the power supply to the cooktop for about 1 minute. If the issue continues, contact Miele Customer Service.
