Problem Possible cause Remedy
There is
condensed water in
the drum.
The dryer has been
connected to a joint ducting
system, and the non-return
flap is not working properly.
The dryer must only be
connected to a joint
ducting system if a
non-return flap is in place.
Check the non-return flap
regularly for damage, and
exchange it if necessary.
Items made of
synthetic fibres are
charged with static
electricity after
drying.
Synthetic fibres tend to
attract static charge.
Static charge can be
reduced by adding a fabric
conditioner to the final rinse
in the washing programme
or a fabric conditioner sheet
to the load when drying.
There is a build-up
of fluff.
Fluff is principally the result
of friction when garments
are being worn and washed.
Machine drying hardly
causes any fluff to form and
has been established by
research institutes to have
no appreciable effect on the
lifetime of the garment.
Fluff is collected by the fluff
filter and can be easily
removed (see "Cleaning and
Care").
