Feathers are a natural product and this is quite nor‐
mal.

static electricity after
drying.
Synthetic fibres tend to attract static charge.

tatic charge can be reduced by adding fabric
conditioner to the final rinse in the washing pro‐
gramme.
There is a build-up of
fluff.
Fluff is principally the result of friction when garments
a
re being worn and to some extent when they are be‐
ing washed. Machine drying hardly causes any fluff to
form and has no appreciable effect on the lifetime of
the fabric.
Fluff is collected by the fluff filters and the plinth filter
and can be r
emoved easily.
