Why does the line fuse blow in my Minarik DC Drives?

  The line fuse might be blowing due to several reasons. It could be the wrong size for the motor, so check that it's correct. There might be a short in the motor cable or armature to ground; inspect them for shorts. Alternatively, nuisance tripping might occur due to ambient conditions combined with high-current spikes. In this case, try adding a blower to cool the drive components, decrease the CURRENT LIMIT settings, resize the motor and drive, or check for misaligned mechanical components or jams.

  If the line fuse is intact but the motor isn't running, several factors could be at play. First, check if the speed adjust potentiometer or input voltage/current signal is set to zero speed and increase it. Ensure the start switch is closed, or jumper terminals B1 and B3. Verify that S2 is not shorted to S1 and remove any short if present. Also, confirm the drive isn't in current limit by checking for motor jams and increasing the CURRENT LIMIT setting if it's too low. Ensure the drive is receiving AC line voltage and that the motor is correctly connected to A1 and A2 after removing power.

  If your motor is running too fast, it could be due to a high MAX SPD setting. Consider calibrating or decreasing the MAX SPD setting. Another possible cause could be loose motor field connections, if you are using shunt wound motors. Check these connections to ensure that they are properly connected.
