  If the line fuse blows in your Minarik Controller, first ensure the line fuses are the correct size. Check the motor cable and armature for shorts to ground. Nuisance tripping can also occur due to ambient conditions and high-current spikes; consider adding a blower to cool the drive components, decreasing TORQUE settings, or resizing the motor and drive for the actual load demand. Also, check for incorrectly aligned mechanical components or “jams”. If the field circuit is open, send the drive to the Minarik repair department.

Ensure that the speed adjust pot or signal input connections are not open. Check if the motor is jammed and increase the CURR. LIMIT setting. Verify that the drive is receiving AC line voltage at L1 and L2, and that the motor is properly connected to A1 and A2.

  If the motor pulsates or surges under load with your Minarik Controller, it may be because the IR COMP is set too high. Adjust the IR COMP setting slightly counter-clockwise until the motor speed stabilizes. Also, ensure that the motor has sufficient horsepower and amperage, as the control might be in current limit mode.
