5.3 Field of View
Make sure that the object to be measured is larger
than the unit’s spot size. As smaller the object, closer
the meter should be to it.
When the accuracy is critical, make sure the object
is at least twice larger than the spot size. As the
distance of the meter to the object increase, the spot
size increase proportionally.
REMARK:
• It is not recommended for use in measuring shiny
or polished metal surfaces (stainless steel, alumi-
num, etc). Check the emissivity.
• The thermometer cannot measure through trans-
parent surfaces such as glass. It will measure
